This is funny because questions like these are the most common questions I get from people when they find out I work in HR. I think it makes them feel better to hear about people getting caught for things they are doing. This makes them feel less like an asshole for whatever it is they are up to. Wow, Frank in accounting was banging Susy from PR in the stairwell? Wow, I don’t feel so bad for faking my timesheets all last week.
Well done Laurie, that’s a healthy response that tells me much about why you aren’t “doing” HR any more. You are way too human to be in “human resources”.
Folk like DKB remind me why HR are the most detested department in any major company…
Bryan, when people ask me to tell them stories about HR, I start to talk about compa-ratios. That’s boring enough so they never ask again.
