Globalization, Productivity Not Among Top HR Priorities

by Laurie on March 28, 2008

Also not a priority for HR?

  1. Realistic and relevant training & development
  2. Employee morale
  3. Security and privacy
  4. Attracting & retaining talented employees
  5. Practical and attainable diversity goals and objectives

What is a priority for HR?

  1. Team building
  2. Customer service
  3. Union-busting
  4. The company picnic
  5. Paperwork and employee files

And you wonder why I’m going to work at Starbucks as a barista, right?

You’re going to work at Starbucks? Nifty! There have been days (many, many bleak & gray days) when I’ve thought about ditching payroll crap and donning the green apron. But then I look at the price of a bag of Innova Evo cat food… nope, can’t afford the pay cut. Back to the paperwork, personnel files, and team building.

@deb — have at that topic because it needs some sunshine.

@perrick — Starbucks won’t have me. It’s just a dream. Also, my cats don’t like Innova. We’re back on the Science Diet Indoor and everyone is happy. They might get Purina One if momma doesn’t get a job.

Starbucks wouldn’t have me, either. I hate people and am too short to work the espresso machine.

I’ve never had a cat who recognized any version of Science Diet as “edible”. Nutro Max has always been well-liked. In fact, if I made Chex Mix with Nutro Max, most people would eat it without noticing it’s cat food.

This is why I don’t host parties.

I have too much to whine about on this topic so I will have to do a track back.
