That’s a good use of $$, Bethany. I bought a new macbook, last year, and it was the best investment I made in ages. My old PC was not cutting it — I think my calculator was faster!!

@Scarlett @Laurie My husband got his iPhone on the initial release date, and I bought one 3 weeks later. GET ONE. The Maps feature alone is worth the money.

well, my $600 is paying back my savings.

however, if that weren’t the case, i’d buy a $500 gift card for a gas station via my grocery store that provides fuel perks @ $.10 / $50. I could get at the most 30 gallons for $2.60 / gallon. oy. I think this would save me the “uuuugggghhh” when I look at my bank statement. Then the other $100 on gas station snack food! Yea!

Perrik, if you’re going to spend $1200 on travel, you could go somewhere tropical and sip fruity drinks on the beach. For $1200, might I recommend Aruba? Reasonably priced hotel rooms, decent people, nice beaches. No need for an all inclusive resort as the restaurants are pretty good.

Although if I had $1200, I might get a TV and watch the travel channel.

We’re getting $1200. It might go towards a new TV - something with a working remote control would be good. Or maybe we’ll put it towards a scouting trip to Seattle, as we’re thinking about moving there. (OMG, I could work for Starbucks corporate! They could pay me in lattes!)
