None of the three that might I hit en route to work are closing. None of the three within a 3-block walk from my current office are closing. None of the three within a 6-block walk from my soon-to-be office are closing (the closest has only been open a couple months, so I was nervous!). And neither of the three that I might hit during my Saturday errands are closing. (I've just mentioned 12 different locations, BTW) There's one by the IKEA, but the location was stupid and didn't take advantage of either the IKEA proximity or the flood of morning commuter traffic (for which it could have been, but was entirely not, perfectly situated). No great loss.

For some reason my husband and I had been discussing North Dakota recently. I discovered that there were 16 Starbucks in the entire state. Four of them are closing!

As we're planning a relo to Seattle, it's not a question of "is there a convenient Starbucks?" but "does the closest store make a good latte?"

Only six in Oregon huh? Thank god the one a block from my office is staying open! PHEW!

One that's closing is the first Starbucks I ever went to, single tear punk rockers! I'm not at all surprised that the one on 20th & Division is closing it's two blocks from a grocery co-op and surrounded by "funky independents" that the hippies cream themselves over, Starbucks, what were you thinking?

P.S. I have been to 2/3 of the stores closing in my state, what does this say about me? Besides that I'm awesome.
