    Laurie-

Just found your blog… and laughing a lot as I read through it. If you’re still “on the beach” or even if you’re back in the workforce, I’d love to chat with you sometime.

Although I’d agree that *most* team building is for suckers…. I’m a team building and leadership dev consultant…. and I could use some help in Chicago.

    Dear Ms. Ruettiman,

I’m writing to you on behalf of The Human Factor, and I’d like to request you for permission to publish entries from your blog in our HR journal.

“The Human Factor” is an HR journal, published by The Indian Institute of Planning and Management, New Delhi. This journal focuses on collating articles related to the present HR scenario, best practices in the area and, various tools and current issues in the industry. You can find out more about our content at http://www.iipmthinktank.com/publications/the-human-factor.html

The Human Factor is circulated to a large number of top companies and universities (both in India and abroad), and has a substantial subscription base. It will also be available at select bookshops and stalls in India from February 2008.

We are currently in the process of finalizing the contents for forthcoming issue, due to be published by February 2008 and, as I mentioned, I would love it if we could publish parts of your blog as a section in our magazine.

The wit and humour expressed in your entries makes them very interesting reads, and, while switching from journal to magazine, we at The Human Factor are trying to redesign our content from purely academic, to more practical and easy – to – read.

I’d like to send you a complementary copy of our previous issue so you can look through it – please send across your postal address for that.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Thank you, and have a good day!

    Best regards,

    Aditi

    Hey Laurie -
Thanks for the link lovin’. Although, I may prefer to be a “sucka” (or is it suckah or are you a fan of hyphens? suck-ah…hmmm. That could have another meaning and people would expect nude photos.) Now you can see why I spent a lot of time in HR-folks offices.
Here’s to anarchy in the workplace, dearest punk one.

    Hey, Laurie -

You are a blog diva! Peter Post, Anna Post or I met you at SHRM in Chicago way back in June. You expressed some interest in writing about business etiquette. We do seminars(lots of ‘em - our business has grown 700% in the past three years and this is our busiest year ever - believe it or not). And we do an amazing Train the Trainer Program (one coming up in September; next one in Dallas in March).

Let me know if you are interested in learning more about how we spread the word about consideration, respect and honesty in the workplace. (And if anyone else out there is reading this, my contact info is below.)
