Kathy Griffin & Anderson Cooper: Most Brilliant Talent Decision in 2009 [So Far]

by Laurie on January 1, 2009

I wrote about this, last year, but Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper are a brilliant pair. I’d like to salute the talent director at CNN who made the decision to give Kathy a microphone. It’s an inspired decision — and if we can see more of this innovation in the HR space in 2009, I’d be a happy girl.

The next time someone mocks my career choice as a Human Resources writer, I will steal Kathy’s like and say, “Shut up. I don’t go to your job and knock the dicks out of your mouth.”

They were fantastic together. She had Anderson laughing a lot…and she’s fearless…like you. Happy New Year…Punk Rock On!

@Frank She is fearless and a savvy (if not cheap) businesswoman. I think Kathy is a feminist icon. She gets plastic surgery and doesn’t apologize for it. Uses reality TV to make her parents happy in their final years. Comes from Oak Park and can talk Blagojevich with Larry King. Supports the troops ACTIVELY without supporting the policy. Honestly, I love her. ;)

That’s not her line but I otherwise agree with you even if she isn’t my bag.

I love Kathy’s honesty, and her amazing ability to both honor and mock something at the same time!

She also managed to get Anderson Cooper to relax a little and not clutch his pearls (metaphorically speaking) as much as usual. Bonus points for that!

@Lance I know you love celebrity gossip. Just admit it.

@Patrick You get bonus points for being the first to write ‘clutch his pearls’ on my blog. I just SNORTED!
