I am a guest blogger over at Cheezhead, today, and I’m writing about the stupidity of weight-loss competitions at work. I am also thinking about my good friends — from work & otherwise — who have inspired me to eat bacon, drink martinis, and to try to think about myself as something other than a number on a scale.
I hope you have those friends & coworkers in your lives, yo.

I participated in one of these a few years ago and I was the only person who GAINED weight!
I was at a jewelry store getting my watch repaired and was chatting up the custer service rep. She commented how she is so full b/c the store brought in a catered lunch(as they do every saturday). She went onto tell me how durignt he week of Christmas, they bring this same type of spread every day.
Then the week after new years, they have a “biggest loser” competition for all the employees.
I laughed at the ridiculousness of this and the roller coaster ride this employer sends its employees on.
@HRU Sucker!
@met Can’t even imagine the emotional toll on those employees, yo.
