I am stuffed from eating too many deep fried Oreos at the North Carolina State Fair, so I am sending Tums-enhanced shout-outs to the Talent Camp attendees. Read about it here, here, here & here.
I’m sorry I won’t be there, but I will do everything I can to champion the ideas that emerge from your great sessions.
Anyone you want to recognize, this week? Anything good in your life that we need to celebrate? Let us know in the comments!

Well, since it seems no one has anything to share (yet), I’ll start: I’d like to thank my doctor for telling me that I only had a “bad cold” as opposed to bronchitis (like I’d suspected), thereby saving a ton of money at the pharmacy for medicine I cannot afford!
Little victories … little victories.
OH! And it rained job interviews this past week while I was sick as a dog (of course). Two separate interviews and a third lined up for next week, all with equally attractive companies. Wonderful! It’s been a dry summer. I’ll keep you posted.
Fuck yeah, Simone. I’m giving up a HELLS YEAH scream for your interviews. Also, I’m glad you are kicking that bronchitis in the ass. Definitely keep me posted.
I would like to give a shout out to the most amazing speaker I have ever had the privilege of listening to: Kent Hoffman, PhD http://www.circleofsecurity.net/kenthoffman.html
I’m giving a shot out to my local SHRM chapter, GCHRA. GCHRA organized a field trip to Keeneland to watch horse races last Friday. We had a charter bus with a bathroom, breakfast, lunch and lots of alcohol. I’ll just say that the other corporate tailgaters were surprised that the bus full of HR people had the most alcohol on it! Now, who’s up for snow tubing?
@Jenn Whoa, awesome.
@Bonita Snow tubing? So fun & totally funner with alcohol. FACT.
