Today is a big day.
It is my final day on the payroll of my employer. At midnight, my WARN period will be over and I will be unemployed. I can’t wait to roll out the fancy Vista Print business cards that say –

Okay, fine, maybe I won’t break out those business cards. I’m just excited to have the opportunity to re-brand myself as something other than a global Human Resources generalist. I can design and implement layoffs in multiple countries — but can I do anything else?
